As was said throughout the broadcast (and even our most recent podcast - which you can listen to here), the INDYCAR series went from double headers at the longest track in the series to doubleheaders at the shortest track. The Iowa Speedway comes in at 0.875 miles, and the drivers this past weekend each evening … Continue reading There’s a lot of corn and speed (Iowa 250s Review)
When preparing for the GMR Grand Prix (formerly the INDYCAR Grand Prix) I get nostalgic for the pre-COVID-19 world. Since the race’s beginnings in 2014, it served as the opening weekend for May. The race provides a State fair like atmosphere with families and friends spread out over mounds among the road course at the … Continue reading It’s the GMR Grand Prix, but It’s Not May (A Preview)
https://www.podbean.com/media/share/pb-haegd-d19f69 We're running down the Rolex 24 Hour endurance race. The ones who had great races...and the ones who had not so great races. A lot happens in twenty-four hours, and a lot of great racing happened this year. Two back-to-back class wins, a non-Mazda fire, and Juan being Juan. If you enjoyed this please … Continue reading S3E49 – Race Report: Rolex 24 Hours
It’s the race that’s twice around the clock (well the one in the United States). Pushing both man and machine to the absolute limit. #ThisIsMay a month of excitement. A month of speed. A month to be remembered.
We’ve had four races, numerous controversies, and a fan base that is already stirred up. Yes. The 2019 INDYCAR Season is already on the move. Looking at the season, back in March (which you can read HERE), I had five things I was excited about. We’re not yet halfway through the season, and yes I’m … Continue reading 2019 – Incredible INDYCAR Season So Far
I cannot even begin to write about the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama without thinking “last year was weird”. The Grand-Pee (which I will never find not-funny) got red flagged over a spring storm, only to resume twenty-four hours later. It’s a beautiful facility and 2019 is my first year at the facility. Fourteen … Continue reading Trees and Gravel (Honda Indy Grand Prix)
At the end of the day – the weekend belongs to young Colton Herta. The rookie took the race. He made a climb through the field, battling with the more senior drivers.
